Foodroid

Play as a food delivery robot in a Cyberpunk future. Deliver as much food as you can and try to set a high score. Grab the heaviest foods for most points. Use power-ups to easily get across the streets.

This was a 2 week project where I worked as a level designer and sound designer. This was the first game me and many members in my team ever worked on. During this project I got experience in how to work in a group with source control and learned so much about the game development process. Working with Artists, Designers, programmers and QA for the first time.

We wanted to find the fun factor in this game and used speed and an online leader board to track ones progression and competitive nature.


Level Design

The level design was kept simple and open in order to always see the entire level. Using roads and cars to hinder the player from reaching their objective and getting a new energy source to continue playing. The world was set in a futuristic city using skyscrapers and neon signs to decorate and guide the player.

The objective was to pickup the food and drop it off. Using different sized cars that would increase in speed to make it more difficult the more points you started to get.

Sound Design

The music I chose was a fun and upbeat looping song, I did not want the song to be distracting while playing. I wanted the player to feel like they could get into a fun groove while playing.

I would pick SFX with engine and battery sounds to fit the theme of the game, and focused on using SFX to enhance user experience and accessibility.
